The Water / Wastewater Engineer is responsible for design of water and wastewater projects of varying complexity and assisting in various project management-related tasks. This position requires some experience and familiarity with the various stages of planning and design, a self-motivated and solution-oriented personality, and an ability to effectively collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives.
The Water / Wastewater engineer will be required to provide some level of mentorship to less experienced engineers and must also be eager to grow his / her skill set in technical proficiency, project management, and client relationships. The Water / Wastewater Engineer may be assigned specific tasks related to business development but will not be expected to play a major role in this area initially. Project management responsibilities will be initially focused on task management level responsibilities, which will expand to include a higher level of responsibility in the future.
Technical proficiency is expected in some areas of water / wastewater design, along with attention to detail, the ability to critically analyze one’s own work, and the ability to communicate your analysis to peers and senior level management.
Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferred.
– 7-10 years in water / wastewater planning and design.
– Team Player.
