Project Details

Shrewsberry provided preconstruction and construction management services to The City and County of Denver for the City Park Golf Course – Parks and Drainage Improvements Design-Build Project. The project was located north of City Park, Denver, Colorado.

The project was part of the City and County of Denver’s Platte to Park Hill Stormwater Systems improvement projects, aimed at better protecting people and property against flooding in the north Denver neighborhoods of Elyria, Swansea, Cole, Clayton, Skyland, Shittier, Five points and Northwest Park Hill. The $45 Million project’s major highlights included an 18-hole Parkland style course with par 71, additional course yardage, a newly relocated clubhouse, and a full driving range.

Shrewsberry’s preconstruction services included the development of the Quality Management Plan (QMP), the Design Quality Management Plan (DQMP), the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) which included a Test and Inspection Matrix. The Test and Inspection Matrix provided a list of all specified tests and inspections to be performed on the project. Construction services involved implementing the Quality Management Program and QA/QC. During design, Shrewsberry was responsible for reviewing design submittals at the 30%, 60%, 90% and RFC milestones and certifying that the design submittals met the technical requirements. Design audits were also performed to verify that the design teams complied with the technical requirements and the Design Quality Management Plan. During construction, Shrewsberry was responsible for verifying that the work met the contractual requirements, reporting on the performance of the quality program, performing quality assurance inspections, implementing quality planning, administering and coordinating the Independent Assurance Testing, and managing construction inspections.
