I-69 Section 6 is a four-mile section of the new I-69 along SR 37 in Martinsville. The $137M project will be constructed in two separate contracts. The purpose of the project is improved safety and to decrease the travel time along the I-69 corridor. Contract 1 will include tree clearing, diversion route improvements, construction of Grand Valley Boulevard, construction of Artesian Avenue, construction of Cramertown Loop from SR 252 to Grand Valley Boulevard and an extension of Southview from Burton to SR39. Contract 2 includes the construction of I-69. This project includes construction of four new interchanges. Shrewsberry’s scope of work includes developing traffic plans consisting of pavement markings and signs for the entire corridor.
