Shrewsberry provided design services as part of the David Evans & Associates Team on the I-70 & Kipling Street Interchange Upgrade Project in Denver, Colorado. After CDOT and the local communities determined the configuration of the existing interchange no longer met traffic demands, a design plan was completed to reduce congestion, optimize operations, improve safety, and accommodate multi-modal connections. The project limits included I-70 from Ward Road to Wadsworth Boulevard, which encompasses the interchange adjacent to the I-70 and Kipling Street Interchange.
The Shrewsberry design team was responsible for utility design, utility coordination with project stakeholders, organizing meetings with utility companies, and providing recommendations in a supportive role to David Evans & Associates. The project design was completed in 2018.
