The Eskenazi 38th Street Community Health Center was a redevelopment project for Wishard located at the intersection of 38th Street and Moller Road. Eskenazi sought to demolish several abandoned restaurants and redevelop an old Circuit City building into a large 60,000+ sq. ft. multi-service local health clinic. A goal of the project was LEED Silver certification that resulted in many site related creative designs.
Shrewsberry served as the civil engineering designer responsible for site improvements, grading, rain gardens, detention facilities, water quality structure, combined porous and impervious pavements, storm water routing and piping, drainage study, transportation needs, permitting, parking, access, existing building demolition, geotechnical coordination, survey coordination, and easement coordination.
During construction, Shrewsberry provided construction management and construction administration. Responsibilities included: ongoing construction supervision, management for quality control, Requests for Information (RFI’s), submittals, change orders, RFPs, a rolling punchlist, payment applications, and diversity tracking.
