Shrewsberry provided program management as part of the Owner’s Technical Representative (OTR) team for the design and construction of ARFF #1, a new aircraft rescue fire fighting station that serves the Indianapolis Airport. The new fire station consists of a fire truck garage, equipment storage areas, administrative offices, and staff living quarters, along with state-of-the-art communications equipment tied back to the Airport Ops Center/Emergency Ops Center. The project was a joint project between the Indianapolis Airport Authority and the City of Indianapolis Fire Department. While the IAA owns the building and property, the Indianapolis Fire Department provides the fire protection services.
